Teen Science Café

Teen Science Café: The UPWARDS@VT Team hosted high school students from Northern Virginia to explore topics such as semiconductors, chip design, and digital system design by teaming up with the K-12 Programs at Virginia Tech Greater D.C. This youth led program is designed to bring teens face to face with leading scientists and technologists in an interactive, café style setting.

Through these cafés, students are introduced to both emerging and traditional STEM fields, gaining a preview of potential educational and career pathways. The sessions go beyond theory—offering students a glimpse into what a typical day in these professions looks like and inspiring them to envision their own futures in science and technology.
